Frank Gastambide plays him in Fast & Furious in the trailer for his new movie about Pablo Escobar

On June 2, Prime Video invites you to board Columbia’s first flight. Head to Medellin, a city famous for hosting ex-drug lord Pablo Escobar.

Directed by and starring Frank Gastambide, this action-comedy features a frenzied trailer that combines car chases and Fast & Furious-style stunts…with two/three jokes in between, of course.

It all starts when a young Youtuber fascinated by drugs decides to follow his trail. A few days later, through a video published on his social networks, the world discovers that Pablito is in the hands of dangerous narcotics who demand a huge ransom for his release. “Pallet o plomo!

But what the Narcos don’t know is that Pablito has a big brother, and that big brother has a plan that’s as simple as it is completely insane: assemble a team, raid Colombia to confront the cartel men, and get his healthy little brother back. except

This cardboard team is led by Gastambid and Ramzi Bedia. And as the trailer shows, the two men don’t have the same approach when it comes to talking to drug dealers. But for this they can count on a key ally played by Mike Tyson! A surprise guest for the tricolor production.

It must be said that Prime Video pulled out all the stops for this movie. The teams were able to set up a camera in the barrio of Pablo Escobar in Medellin, a neighborhood that the criminal had built into his city. A first for its residents, some of whom were able to participate in filming.

Medellin corresponds to the works of Gastambide, who signs his fourth realization here. He is still surrounded by his favorite actors, including Anuar Tubal and Brahim Buhlel. On the international casting side, the game also features Raymond Cruz (Taco from Breaking Bad!) and Essinede Aponte (seen in SWAT).

The result, which hits our screens on Prime Video on June 2.
