Tomorrow Belongs to Us: Will Nordin Die? Yusef Agal’s revelations on the rest of the plot

On the return of Jules There’s a lot of tension in Seth, and as the hunt for the Argentail monster continues, a dramatic event is about to shake things up in the episode of Tomorrow Belongs to Us this Wednesday, April 5.

In the middle of an intervention at the port with Sarah (Camille Genau), Nordin is violently crashed into the car of the men he was trying to arrest as part of an investigation into the forced containers.

He was taken to the hospital in critical condition, will Nordin die? Youssef Agal, his translator, gave us secrets about the next events and the arrival of his character’s mother, Miriam Becker, in the series, which will be shown for the first time tomorrow on TF1.

At our microphone, the young actor, who joined the adventure Tomorrow Belongs to Us almost two years ago, also turned to the evolution of his character, the love story of Nordin and Manon and his relationship with his partners, starting with Louis Bachelier, Franck Monsin and Xavier Wiedhoff.

You joined Tomorrow Belongs to Us in 2021. What is your assessment of this year and a half spent in the series?

Yusef Agal : The results are very positive. On a character level, Nordin continued to emancipate himself, gradually becoming more important. At first he was pretty much looking for himself as his original quest. He sought great approval and recognition from his father.

And there, for a few months, he developed very well. He has a real situation, a real relationship with his father, Manon too. He likes his son-in-law very much. And in terms of work, Nordine became a pillar of the Sète police department. So it’s great, it’s just happiness.

And on a personal note, I still have fun, I have great play partners. I am very happy and very grateful for everything that happens to me.

How did your integration into the Big Tomorrow family go?

Everyone will confirm this: I have a rather sociable and joking temperament (laughs). On my first day, I didn’t know anyone, but I immediately hit it off with Mayel Elhajaoui, for example, jokingly (laughs). The people in the tech group thought we had known each other for a long time, it was very funny.

Then Frank Moncini and Sammy Gharbi quickly took me under their wing and off we went. I met many good people thanks to this series. Today I am not ashamed to say it: tomorrow belongs to us, it is my real family, I protect it tooth and nail, no one will speak badly about DNA in front of me (laughs).

Last year, the audience was excited about Nordin and Manon. You were surprised to hear that the writers were planning a love story between you and the character Luvia B.Sc ?

I don’t think it was planned from the beginning, especially since it was a bit ambiguous with the character of Sophie Novak, played by Karol Bianick. So obviously I hadn’t really seen it coming and I didn’t know what direction the writers were going to take us.

And when we were told that during Manon’s internship at the police station, our heroes were going to bond and that would lead to a love story, Luvia and I were thrilled. Even if it takes a while to do it (laughs).

It’s a great relationship and I feel this couple is very popular in the community. For Nordin, as for Manon, this love story was a kind of challenge. This allowed us to put them more into the world of tomorrow and prove them. It is largely due to this love story that they are so popular with the audience.

How is the cooperation with Luvia going?

It’s going really well, we have a big brother and sister relationship that works really well. We were very good from the beginning. We spend a lot of time together, working on our texts, thinking about how to improve certain situations. We don’t pretend, and it shows in the picture, I think, so we’re happy.

In recent months, your stories have mostly focused on the comedy and romance fueled by the Nordin-Manon pairing. But for the past few days, Nordine has been one of the main characters involved in tomorrow’s new ark we own, “Martin’s Choice.” Are you happy to go for something more dramatic?

all. It’s true that Nordin has this very funny and jokey side, even if most of the time it’s a bit in spite of himself (laughs). There was a bit of dramatic plot with the character of Valentine, played by Thibaut Catelin, but it wasn’t anything huge.

And there, when we were told that we were going to do this Ark, Martin’s Choice, we were very happy with Franck, Luvia and Xavier Wiedhoff, who plays Jules, because we immediately felt that we could develop. Our range of games.

It allows me to challenge myself, express what I’m used to doing with Nordine, and show the audience another aspect of this character, a slightly more complex register. As we recently saw during the confrontation with Jules at the party, Nordin was presented in a slightly more awkward, slightly more edgy light. So that’s cool, I’m excited to learn new things.

What memories do you have of this tense face-to-face between Nordin and Jules?

Contrary to what we see on screen, things are tense between me and Xavier on set. Xavier is my brother, we get along well. We spend our time winning.

We enjoyed shooting the punch sequence. There were over 80 extras, we were all together with Clemens Lassala, Ader, Luvia. And contrary to what our characters are going through, Xavier and I have a very good relationship. We could have been Martin’s two sons (laughs). It is super brotherly and welded between us.

In tonight’s episode, Nordin was hit by a car and seriously injured in the hospital. Should we be worried about Nordin’s future and your future in the series?

It is possible, it is possible (laughs). It’s a shock that’s not insignificant, that’s for sure. But, without saying too much, I don’t think we can speculate on Nordin’s future. Still, it’s an interesting situation. We’ve become very attached to Nordin, so to see him in this situation, between life and death in the hospital, he’s definitely doing something, he’s moving, he’s touching us.

I have friends who saw the sequence and said “poor Nordin, we feel sorry for him”. Always in those moments when you think you are losing something or someone, you realize how attached you were to it. So we’ll see an outpouring of generosity and compassion from other characters in future episodes. All this affects many people. It really shows how important Nordin is to the police department.

At first, there is cause for concern, the situation is really dramatic. But this ark, and everything that follows from it, will be fun for fans, as it will allow them to discover a very important new character in Nordin’s life: his mother, Miriam, who will arrive in Seth to attend his bedside. hospital.

Were you happy that we’re finally getting to explore Nordin’s past by introducing the character of Myriam, his mother?

Of course. I didn’t know much about the history of Martin and my hero’s mother. I was enthralled by all of this and developed a very beautiful relationship with Selma Cucci, who plays my fictional mother, and who is lovely. We had some really nice scenes together, in the hospital and a little later.

It’s always interesting because it adds background to the character, deepens things. The main aspect of Nordin’s personal life was previously limited to his relationship with his father and his history with Manon in Downier. And here we’re going to open up to something else. All of this will bring Nordin closer to Martin, who can be a bit harsh at first. For Nordine, this makes it possible to explore different aspects. But it also applies to Martin. We will discover its shortcomings and weaknesses a little more.

Will Miriam and Martin be able to bond and reunite for Nordin?

absolutely. They will be welded despite their differences. We must highlight the incredible work of Tomorrow’s authors, who always manage to present fascinating stories of the past. Considering what’s going on with Nordin, we suspected that Martin was very worried about his son. But the authors also had a good idea to introduce his mother. We knew she existed, but we didn’t know who she was or what had happened between Martin and her in the past.

And you will find a very beautiful sequence, very well written, during which Nordin’s parents meet again in the hospital. And as you can imagine, this will lead to some pretty funny situations, given their commitments. And at the same time, there is always something special between them, this common history that unites them despite everything.

I think Nordin, happy to see them together, is secretly hoping to see them again. Or, in any case, there is a connection and comfort between them, without talking about a loving relationship. That’s what we’re talking about in this piece.
