One of the producers that has stood out the most in recent years is A24, which innovates by bringing more diverse, entertaining and experimental productions to TV and cinema. Now, in partnership with Netflixthe studio is preparing for another release: bullshits.

Created by Lee Sung Jin, the series bullshitsname in portuguese chosen for Beefwas announced in 2021. At the time, its premise was being kept under wraps, but with the premiere on the way, it’s time to find out more.
Treta: what is it about?
As the title of the series suggests, the series bullshits will deal with the disagreements of the main characters: Danny Cho (Steven Yeun) and Amy Lau (Ali Wong). The storyline was inspired by a street fight that the creator of the series had in real life with a strange person.
You can see this inspiration in the trailer for bullshits, showing the lead couple disagreeing in traffic. Though their fight resulted in no incidents, their stressful lives result in an argument going on longer than it should.
Throughout the series we see Amy and Danny in a completely irrational daily confrontation, with the aim of destroying each other’s lives. The protagonists have different socio-economic realities, demonstrating that everyone has different life paths and problems.
Jin explains that, with the series, he wanted to explore the lives of two people who have many unresolved issues that are constantly being repressed. As a result, they live on the verge of exploding at any moment.

The official trailer of the series bullshits it offers everything the storyline can offer: anger and a lot out of control. In the video, Amy and Danny always appear to be fighting, willing to chase each other as if they were in competition, whoever manages to annihilate the other first wins.

The cast of Treta includes Steven Yeun, better known as Glenn from the zombie series Walking Dead. The actor has also starred in blockbuster hits like Minari: In pursuit of happiness AND NO! Do not look!by Jordan Peele.
In addition to Yeoun, the series features actress and comedian Ali Wong, who became famous for her stand-up comedy acts. Ma Wong also excels in acting, participating in productions such as Paper girls AND My eternal perhaps.
The bullshit cast is rounded out by actress Ashley Park, from Emilia in Parisas well as Joseph Lee, David Cho, Patti Yasutake, Andrew Santino, Justin H. Min, among others.
Treta: when is it on air?
The first season of the series bullshits will contain 10 episodes, which will debut on April 6 onwards Netflix.
