Box office France: French film stronger than Shazam 2 and John Wick 4!

to remember

I will always see your faces, which is benefiting from very good word of mouth, is the first at the box office for the week: it takes more than 280,000 in one week, a score higher than the two previous films by Gene Herr, Pupil and El Fan. A very good launch for a film that also received the AlloCiné Club Label (see our video above).

Shazam! Anger of the Gods It is in second place with mixed results, below the first part, which achieved 70,998 admissions in the first week of 2019.

Then, many sequels in the weekly top 10, including the continuation of the duel Jean Dujardin Vs Keanu – John Wick – Reeves. Both are still shoulder to shoulder, but together on dark paths which seduces a little more viewers and thus stands on the third place of the podium: under the direction of the film Jean Dujardin accounting for 254,985 additional entries, against 236,751 entries John Wick 4. We can see that the two films saw exactly the same drop between their first and second week of release (-42%).

The only novelty of this top, the Ukrainian animated film, Kingdom of Naya, 5th, with 163,496 entries. In between sequels, let’s celebrate the success of Mon Crime, which crossed a million viewers this weekend.

Let’s celebrate the wonderful stability Good manWith Karin Viard and Melvin Boomer down just 19% this week (and 105,412 more admissions for a total of 500,000 admissions) and still Alibi.com 2Which also continues its good run, with another 100,000 additional admissions this week.
