Warner Bros. has decided to change the release date of again aquaman and the lost empire, this time not delaying, but anticipating the premiere of the film. As reported by expiration, aquaman 2 it will now hit theaters on December 20, 2023 instead of the 25th (Christmas) as previously scheduled.
According to the gringo portal, the changes in the film were due to Warners not calculating that the production would need so many reshoots. The film produced by Oprah Winfrey, Steven Spielberg, Scott Sanders and Quincy Jones is the one that now hits cinema screens at Christmas.
With anticipation, the sequel to Jason Momoa’s film will compete with Ghostbusters: Afterlife 2, by Sony, which also opens the same day. Beyond, aquaman 2 will face the animation Migrationfilm from the same studio as My favorite evil and which arrives on the big screen on Friday 22 December.
Minecraft has a release date
Among the changes in the release schedule, Warner has also released the premiere date of the live-action Minecraft, a film based on the game and also starring Momoa. Production will start on April 4, 2025.
