“Plop, plop, whoa!” Chris Pratt and Anya Taylor-Joy imitate their favorite sound effects from the Super Mario games

Super Mario fans be warned, this interview with the animated film’s VO actor will reignite your nostalgic fiber!

AlloCiné meets Chris Pratt (Mario), Charlie Day (Luigi), Anya Taylor-Joy (Peach) and Keegan-Michael Key (Pumpkin)!

We asked artists to fill out our Mario questionnaire to find out what their favorite game, character, power, or sound effect was in the world of the mustachioed plumber. We remind you that the feature film is a collaboration between Nintendo and Illumination studio (Moi, ugly and mean, All on stage).

The story introduces Mario and his brother Luigi, both plumbers. When they attempt to repair an underground pipe, they find themselves plunged into a magical new world through a mysterious pipe. But when the two brothers are separated, Mario embarks on a wild adventure to find Luigi.

In his quest, he can rely on the Mushroom Toad, a resident of the Mushroom Kingdom, and the wise advice, in terms of fighting techniques, of Princess Peach, the decisive warrior at the head of the kingdom. This is how Mario manages to mobilize his forces to complete the mission.

Super Mario Bros, the movie hits theaters on April 5th.
