Gerard Butler has a few hours to escape the Middle East… Kandahar trailer promises a big adrenaline rush

After saving the President of the United States in the fall of the White House, saving the planet in a geostorm, surviving the Greenland cataclysm and rescuing passengers from a Mayday hostage situation, Gerard Butler returns with a new action film.

In Kandahar, he plays Tom Harris, an undercover CIA agent working in the Middle East. Leaks reveal his identity. Trapped in hostile territory, Harris and his translator must make their way through the desert to Kandahar, Afghanistan, while evading pursuit by elite special forces.

This is the Scottish comedian’s third collaboration with director Rick Roman Waugh after “The Fall of the President” (2019) and Greenland – the last refuge (2020). After Kandahar, the two men meet again in the sequels Night Has Fallen (the fourth installment in the saga The Fall of the White House) and Greenland: The Migration.

In Kandahar, Gerard Butler stars alongside Navid Negaban (Homeland), Travis Fimmel (Vikings), Ali Fazal (Victoria & Abdul), Nina Toussaint-White (GameFace) and Iranian actress Elnaz Norouzi. The movie will be released in our theaters soon.
