Marvel: Tony Stark eats a burger, and it’s not just product placement

If you have seen Iron Man, you definitely remember (think…) the beginning of the movie. While on a tour of Afghanistan to demonstrate his latest creation, the Jericho missile, Tony Stark is kidnapped by terrorists from the Ten Rings organization.

Critically injured in the attack, he survives only thanks to the help of a scientist, Professor Insen, who implants an electromagnet powered by a car battery in his chest to prevent the projectiles from exploding into his heart.

Unfazed by threats from terrorists who want him to reproduce his rocket, he builds instead, and in the utmost secrecy, a miniature reactor called an “ARK reactor” to replace the vehicle’s battery and primary armor. Thanks to the latter and Insen’s sacrifice, Stark escapes, but his armor breaks as he escapes.

Back on American soil, marked by his captivity, he is met at a military airport by his assistant Pepper Potts, who wants to take him to a hospital. Stark refuses, replying that he primarily wants a “American Cheeseburger”Before organizing a press conference on the announcement of the cessation of production of weapons Stark Industries.
