Eu Capacito, in collaboration with Escola Superior de Redes (ESR), offers 30 scholarships to unemployed people.

Companies and educational institutions offer free courses with training in various fields, from computer science to games. Some initiatives seek to train underrepresented groups in the tech marketplace, such as people of color, people with disabilities (PwDs), and LGBTQIAP+.



Colégio Engenheiro Salvador Arena has 80 vacancies, half of which are for people with a per capita monthly household income up to one and a half minimum wages. Eu Capacito offers exclusive training for the unemployed.

Salvador Arena School of Engineers

The Colégio Engenheiro Salvador Arena has 80 free places for technical courses in Mechanics and Computer Science. The courses are aimed at candidates who have already finished high school, but do not yet have a university degree, and are held over three academic semesters, in face-to-face mode during the evening period.

Half of the vacancies are reserved for candidates with a per capita monthly household income up to one and a half minimum wages. Those who have the profile for this modality can still request an exemption from the registration fee until April 17th through the program website. The other half is offered to applicants of all income brackets.

The body also points out that, regardless of family income, training is 100% free. Interested applicants can apply via vunesp website until day May 18th.

koru school

Aiming to make the technology market more diverse, Escola Kóru offers grants of up to 100% for data engineering and software development training. The full scholarships are for women, people of color, LGBTQIAP+, people with disabilities (PwDs), and people without formal employment. Registrations can be made by Koru school site.

GOD + iFood

OR iFood, in partnership with edtech DIO, is offering 5,000 free scholarships through the Potência Tech platform. The “Potência Tech Angular Developer – Powered by iFood” bootcamp provides 75 hours of educational experiences in Angular, aimed at people with no experience, and offers initiation into computational thinking and the first steps in programming in Angular, CSS, HTML and Javascript.

The program is open to anyone interested, but has a focus on reaching underrepresented and low-income groups, with the aim of enhancing learning and facilitating candidates’ connection to the job market. Interested parties can register via GOD platform.

Mercado Livre and Mercado Pago have teamed up to launch a course aimed at black entrepreneurs in Brazil. The “Digital Entrepreneurship” course is open for enrollment throughout the year and is offered 100% free and online. Registrations are open and can be made directly at the address course platform.

Eu Capacito, in collaboration with Escola Superior de Redes (ESR), offers 30 scholarships for the Agile Project Management course.

To participate, candidates must meet the following requirements: be over 18 years old; be unemployed; attended all of high school in a public school; monthly family income up to 6 minimum wages; have access to the Internet and a computer, as well as an interest and willingness to take the course.

The school creates games

The Create Games School has vacancies on the course which aims to train apprentices in game programming for work in the job market. The training is aimed at public school students and other stakeholders in the 12 to 29 age group.
