KION showed for the first time a new drama “The Art of Death” starring Anton Vasilyev (“Crystal”, “Running of Snails”, “Ordinary Woman”) and Sergey Makovetsky (“Liquidation”, “It Doesn’t Hurt Me”, “Pop”). The film directed by Vladimir Beldiyan is available exclusively to subscribers of the service.
“The Art of Death” is a parable film that will take viewers to Czechoslovakia after the Prague Spring and tell the story of a writer who did not want to live in fear and pangs of conscience. The film is based on Friedrich Dürrenmatt’s radio play Night Conversation with the Executioner.
The film’s festival premiere took place as part of the jubilee show of theater and cinema “Amur Autumn” in Blagoveshchensk, where the film was awarded a jury diploma “For Convincing Director’s Courage”. Also, Sergey Makovetsky was awarded the Best Actor Award at the Alafeiskaya Gora Film Festival.
