James Gunn Introduces Guardians 3’s Blurry Alien Friend Blurp: “Arguably the Most Important Character in the MCU Moving Forward”

No, he’s just a lovable weirdo, a furry brown alien who looks a bit like Zippy’s Rainbow if it had rows of razor-sharp teeth and four soft, pointed ears. “Arguably the most important character for the future of the Marvel Universe is Blurp,” jokes James Gunn Empire grill it up on the fun little future fan favorite.

Now, in a major groundbreaking world exclusive, Gunn tells the full story of the Blurp and how it will change the fate of the Guardians forever. “Blurp starts off as the pet of one of the film’s Ravagers. As Gunn prepares to leave Marvel to lead the charge across the DC Universe, Blurp is one of the gifts he will leave to future filmmakers in Phases 5 and 6. “I’m also incredibly excited about Blurp,” he said. .
