Star Wars: 3 unusual activities for a Star Wars celebration

Over the Easter long weekend, Star Wars fans weren’t going to hunt for eggs, they were going to race for stars. From April 7-10, they gathered in London for Star Wars Celebration, a famous convention known for its big announcements and exclusive information released by Disney and Lucasfilm.

But this convention is also an opportunity for fans, cosplayers and creators to come together. Among the many stands, both original and impressive, there are unusual activities that can only be seen at this kind of congress.

A race of droids

While there are plenty of cosmonauts in increasingly elaborate costumes at the Star Wars celebration, there are also plenty of fan-inventors who make their own droids. There is a group among them DroidBuildersUKwho have created all kinds of droids, be it astromech or ceremonial.

And plenty of droid designers brought their creations back to Star Wars Celebration to show off, but also for fans to test their creations and put them to work competing in droid races. And the participants quickly learned that it was not so easy to manipulate the droids.

Running Stromtrooper

As proof that the bad guys aren’t always bad, we came across a Stormtrooper doing a good job. He calls himself “Stormtrooper Runner”The athlete started running for charity in 2016 and has raised thousands of pounds for charities such as Make A Wish.

As usual, he attended the Star Wars Celebration of Blood and Water and hoped to break the record of 1,600 kilometers on the treadmill in 2020.

The only Frenchman of the convention

Among all the stands attending Star Wars Celebration, we found the only Frenchman who calls himself Bespincloud. If that name means anything to you, it’s because you’ve probably seen it in one of the Who’s Liars videos. by Scouse.

Real name Haytem Gasmi, this head of social media for Hasbro is also a “toy photographer.” He arranges figurines and toys in pre-thought-out and designed decor, and then photographs them, resulting in original and exciting shots that tell fascinating stories.
