The 2023 Cannes Film Festival begins…today! The opening remains, of course, scheduled for May 16, with the presentation of Maïwenn’s Jeanne du Barry (no competition). But the selection was announced on Thursday, April 13, consisting of around 2,000 films seen by Thierry Fremaux’s teams.
Among the lucky winners, the 19 opuses competing for the Palme d’Or were awarded on Saturday 27 May by the jury of Ruben Östlund, the latest winner to date without a filter. There will be only one left in a little over a month. And here are the candidates.
