Obi-Wan stars Ewan McGregor, Hayden Christensen, Vivien Lyra Blair and Indira Varma sat down with show runner Deborah Chow to discuss their time working on the series and talk about their favorite scenes.
The actors talked about their characters’ emotional journeys and the evolving relationships between them. Director Chow stated that telling a compelling narrative with emotional connections while respecting established continuity presented a significant challenge.
Christensen and McGregor spoke for a few minutes about the flashback between their characters in the show’s fifth episode. McGregor said this scene was the first he and Christensen shot together. Finally, McGregor revealed that his favorite scene is also one of the last in the series: the farewell between Obi-Wan and Leia.
The panel ended with everyone thanking Deborah Chow for creating the series and McGregor telling all his fans how much he appreciated the opportunity to return to the Star Wars universe after such a long time.
In an interview, Kathleen Kennedy said that there is currently no second season in production, but left open the possibility that Obi-Wan could return in the future. Star Wars fans can be sure that this will not be the end of the beloved character of many!
