There are three identity verification options available. They aren’t available to everyone yet, but that’s what LinkedIn is all about.
While some charge a monthly fee to verify users’ identities, LinkedIn goes the other way.
This Wednesday (12), Microsoft’s professional social network announced an expansion of its identity verification tools.
WHAT WAS THERE? There are three new features, two for employees of large companies, another for those who live in the United States.
Employee verification is done via company email. It has been around since October 2022 and has now expanded to 50 million users from over 4,000 companies worldwide.
Another form of verification available is through Microsoft Sign In, Microsoft’s identification platform offered to businesses. This will be available at the end of April.
Finally, anyone residing in the United States can use the CLEAR platform to validate their identity. To do this, you need an official document and a US number.
FUTURE. In a post on the platform, Oscar Rodriguez, vice president of product management at LinkedIn, said that this option will be extended to even more companies in the future.
We believe verification should be for everyone on LinkedIn, which is why all tools will be made available and free to all of our members.
Elon Musk must have heard the hint there on the couch where he sleeps at Twitter HQ.
