Transatlantic on Netflix: Which huge movie classic inspired the series?

Adapted from the novel Flight portfolio By Julie Orringer, the transatlantic series looks back at historyEmergency Rescue Committee, the committee that allowed several thousand Jews to flee Europe during World War II. This 7-episode show is a new creation by Anna Winger, to whom we owe the unorthodox.

The screenwriter is inspired by real events and people who actually existed, such as American journalist Varian Fry, an active member of the Emergency Rescue Committee.
