Since the box office of Squid Game, the success of Korean series on Netflix has not stopped. Proof of this was given to us once again recently with The Glory, and there is no doubt that the new series of Queenmaker will not go against this observation either.
This new production takes place in the world of politics: Oh Seung-seok (Moon So-ri), a lawyer who specializes in fighting for human rights, decides to run for mayor of Seoul.
His candidacy is supported by image consultant Hwang Do Hee (Kim Hae Ae), for whom choosing his client would be an opportunity to settle a personal score with his former boss!
This immersion in politics will allow for an unhealthy game where every shot is allowed to defeat the opponent. Will Moon be ready to get his hands dirty for the election? As for Hwang, will he be able to corrupt the candidate to satisfy his revenge?
An uncompromising portrait of the world of politics, Queenmaker also takes the bravery of casting two women as the main characters in a world still largely dominated by men. But will this alliance of circumstances survive the trials and dirty tricks that await the duo during their campaign?
Twelve episodes of Queenmaker are now available exclusively on Netflix.
