Stranger Things: A fan-favorite character is coming back … but not on Netflix

Eddie Munson, played by Joseph Quinn, quickly became one of the stars of Season 4 of Stranger Things. The enthusiasm is such that a metal-focused book is in the works. authorized Stranger Things: Flight of Icarus And written by Caitlin Schneiderhan – who is involved in the development of Season 5 – this novel takes place in 1984, two years before the events of Season 4.

The story follows the meeting between Eddie Munson, a young musician, and producer Page. Although the latter offers him the chance to realize one of his biggest dreams, breaking into the profession with his group’s corroded coffin, the hero will have to find money. To do this, he falls into one of his father’s chaotic schemes.

Expected to hit bookstores on October 31st, the book seems to put aside the plot of the series to focus solely on this secondary character. “I can’t wait for fans to experience his journey to heroism, experiencing the risky decisions that made him the outcast we know and love.“, explains the author Entertainment Weekly.

The cover has also been revealed, and it captures one of the iconic scenes from season four, when Eddie takes on an electric guitar solo in the Upside Down. A French release date has not yet been set.

As for the TV series, Stranger Things season 5 is set to begin filming at the end of June.
