The ‘Gladiator’ actor clears up doubts about his continuity.
Russell Crowe has talked about a possible return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe after his role in ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’a movie starring Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman that we can enjoy on Disney+.
The Oscar-winning actor played Zeus in last year’s MCU movie, leaving the doors open when your character he sent his son Hercules (Brett Goldstein, from ‘Ted Lasso’, one of the best series on Apple TV+) to kill the god of thunder.
In his appearance on the podcast ‘Happy Sad Confused’, Crowe was asked for a possible return answering: “Well, no one has raised anything with me, but, I mean, It seems that this is the idea at the end of the last one, No? But the truth is, I don’t know.”
“If you are a young actor and you have the opportunity to be on a set with Taika Waitititake advantage of it,” he said of the film’s director. “It’s a lot of fun, he is a creative geniusBut he’s also a lovely guy.”
Crowe also praised his co-star. Chris Hemsworthadmitting that, although she did not know him beforehand, she was “pleasantly surprised at what a good actor he is”adding that Hemsworth had “great comedic chops” and was “a very warm and welcoming guy”.
The star also quipped, “What you see when you’re in the theater is this big, lavish, amazing set, but really it’s just me and Chris and a couple of cardboard boxes covered in blue shit, you know?”
Goldstein’s cameo with Crowe, one of the best Marvel post-credit scenes, It was one of the big surprises of the movie.and the ‘Ted Lasso’ star spoke last year about keeping it a secret.
“I didn’t tell anyone because Marvel put a chip around my neck that said, ‘If you talk about this you’re dead,'” he told ‘Variety’.
“I texted my mom and dad and said, ‘I just saw Thor.’ I knew it wasn’t the kind of movie they were going to see. I said, ‘You should go see it. It’s fun.'”
She added: “My mom was texting me throughout the movie telling me about it. I was like, ‘Watch the movie!'”
“It gets to the end, where Russell Crowe comes in… My mom texts me, ‘Russell Crowe is out again, he’s so funny.’ And I’m like, ‘Look at the fucking screen!'”
