A movie for this Arrow superhero?

During a recent episode of “The Hot Mic” podcast, journalist (and noted whistleblower) Jeff Snyder mentioned that he had heard that a Mister Terrific project was in development, although little information was provided.

Someone tells me that a Mister Terrific project is in the worksHe said, before later mentioning that James Gunn thought “Mr. Terrific could be one of those supporting characters that deserves his own movie.”

As reported by ComingSoon , the news isn’t too surprising, as last year James Gunn was rumored to be interested in a possible DC Comics superhero project. In a joint post on Twitter and Instagram in November 2022, the new CEO of DC Studios casually shared a photo of the character with no other clues, leading many fans to believe that something was up.

The hero seen in Arrow

Mister Terrific is a little-known superhero who first appeared in the DC Comics universe in 1942. The role of Mr. Great was played by two characters: first Terry Sloane and then Michael Holt. In the comics, Holt is Sloane’s successor and the third-smartest man on the planet, as well as an Olympic-level athlete and skilled fighter who has no trouble learning new skills. After the death of his family, he dons the Mr. Terrific costume and joins the Justice Society of America.

Mr. Great (Echo Kellum) in “Arrow”

Mr. Beautiful has so far only appeared on the CW’s hit series Arrow, where he was portrayed by Eco Kellum, who this time played a version of the character named Curtis Holt. The character was a mainstay of the show from its fourth to eighth seasons.
