Could he appear before Rey in the form of a Force ghost?
The president of Lucasfilm, Kathleen Kennedy has clarified if Mark Hamill’s Luke Skywalker will return to the ‘Star Wars’ saga.
The next Daisy Ridley’s return to the franchise from ‘Star Wars’ for his own movie independent, in which King will work to re-establish the Jedi Order 15 years after the failure ‘The Rise of Skywalker’ and those things that don’t make sense, was one of the most important news of this year’s ‘Star Wars Celebration’. Other powerful announcements were that of ‘Skeleton Crew’, the Star Wars series with Jude Law that recovers the spirit of ‘The Goonies’ on Disney+ and also the development of ‘The Acolyte’, the impressive series of Star Wars villains that mixes ‘Frozen’ with ‘Kill Bill’.
The exciting news left fans wondering if Luke Skywalker would make an appearance via flashbacks or as a Force ghost after his death in The Last Jedi, the record-breaking film in the saga. Hamill reprized the role in ‘The Rise of Skywalker’ when Luke appeared before Rey after she discovered her true parentage.
But despite the odds, kennedy said to ‘IGN’ that it is not yet clear if Luke will return.
“I don’t know if we’ll spend a lot of time in flashbacks or between Force ghosts or things like that, but of course, the spirit of what he represents to her is going to be significant“, said.
However, he did give fans a bit more insight into what the movie will entail, explaining that it will see the Jedi Order in “disarray.”
“We are 15 years after ‘The Rise of Skywalker,’ post-war, after the First Order, and the Jedi are in disarray“, Explain.
“There’s a lot of discussion about who the Jedi are. What are they doing? What is the state of the galaxy?”
“She tries to rebuild the Jedi Order based on the books and what she promised Luke.So that’s where we’re going.”
