Gladiator: Press pause at 1 hour and 26 minutes, this little detail will take you right out of the movie!

Despite the unforgettable fight sequences, impeccable cast and incredible soundtrack, Ridley Scott’s Gladiator also has – when you look very closely and carefully study the time – a few mistakes.

No one is perfect, as Michelle and Michelle keep reminding us in each episode of Faux Fitting. And the legendary Peplum, directed by Russell Crowe, is unfortunately no exception to the rule. It’s really impossible not to miss a mistake or two here and there when piloting a production of this scale, where the extras are legion and where the risk of making a mistake is proportional to the colossal number of visual effects.

Although they are almost invisible when watching a feature film at normal speed, some anomalies can literally take you out of the movie as soon as you notice them. This is especially true of the case we are interested in today, and you can find the scene of the memorable battle between Maximus and the Carthaginian barbarians on the sands of the Colosseum.

While the gladiators are violently attacked by their opponents who are far better armed than they are, take a close look at the tank that we see pass at exactly 1 hour, 26 minutes and 24 seconds, right before one of the gladiators is found wounded. half.

On the left side of the screen, when we pause the film at the appropriate moment, we can indeed see the soles of two shoes: a technician apparently kneeling inside the tank, right next to the actor who plays the driver. It’s hard to focus on the action of the scene when you notice such an anachronism! But that’s not all!

Indeed, just 12 seconds later (at 1 hour, 26 minutes and 36 seconds) another tank flipped on its side after hitting the arena and overturned. At this exact moment, the impact reveals a black sheet that should cover the gas bottle, and the mechanism is clearly visible on the screen for a quarter of a second.

These two small mistakes, very close together, are not the only mistakes in the film, as you can see from Michelle and Michelle.
