It is quite common to see actors who turned down roles in specific films that were very successful, either financially or critically. However, this was not the case for Rachel McAdamswho turned down several major productions, such as The devil Wears Prada (2006), 007 – Casino Royale (2006) and Iron Man (2008).

In a profile published on Bustlethe actress revealed how she turned down projects for two years because she left for Canada, because she wanted a break after rising in hollywood with Mean Girls (2004) and Diary of a passion (2004). McAdams also refused Mission: Impossible 3 (2006) and Agent 86 (2008).

“Certainly there are things like ‘I wish I had done that. [Mas] I take a step back and say, ‘That was the person for this,'” said the artist. “I felt guilty for not taking advantage of the opportunity I was given, because I knew I was in a lucky place.”

But I also knew it didn’t quite match my personality and what I needed to stay sane.

“There were definitely some anxious moments where I wondered if I was just throwing it all away and why was I doing this? It took me years to understand what I intuitively did,” he continued. Rachel McAdams.
