Two years after winning the Emmy Award for Best Actor for Ryan Murphy’s miniseries Halston, Ewan McGregor has landed a new role in the program for the Prime Video platform. Titled Lodi, this drama is inspired by a true story told in an Alta article by journalist Andrew Dobbins.
The story takes place in 1977. Obi-Wan Kenobi’s interpreter plays a car salesman named Lou Peters, who despite himself becomes an FBI informant. He infiltrates the mafia when a criminal offers him to buy a car dealership.
Fully involved in the operation of a criminal organization, he will see his life turn into hell. Thanks to the work of an informant, Lou Peters makes it possible to convict a mob boss of his first crime.
Timothy Greenberg (The Daily Show) will host the show, and Ewan McGregor will serve as one of the executive producers. The actor is currently filming another series for Paramount+ based on Amor Towles’ novel, A Gentleman in Moscow.
