Marcon MP (PT-RS) said Jair Bolsonaro’s 2018 knife attack was “staged to win the election”
the deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) chased the MP Marcon (PT-RS) during a session on Wednesday 19 of the Labor Commission of the Chamber. The parliamentarian got up from his chair, cursed several times and threatened to “put his hand in the face” of the petist after Marcon said that the stabbing attack against Jair Bolsonaro in 2018 it was “staged”.
Using his speaking time as minority leader, Eduardo Bolsonaro criticized the current government’s anti-gun policy and said he could not be “fooled” by the left. “The left can deceive others. We, here, who have also taken the stab at a former PSOL, do not deceive at all”.
The MP was referring to Adélio Bispo, who was responsible for the knife attack suffered by then presidential candidate Jair Bolsonaro during his campaign in Juiz de Fora (MG) in September 2018. Bispo was a member of the PSOL in Uberaba (MG) between 2007 and 2014.
Deputy Marcon later said, “It was an act to win the election.” Eduardo Bolsonaro replied: “Look at the level of provocation. Stab yourself in the stomach and I want to see what you will do.” MPs began to question whether the statement was a threat.
The disagreement continued. Marcon wondered “how much blood came out”, until the PL deputy got up and went towards the PT. “Do you think it’s on the internet? I put my hand on your face and I lose the mandate. I lose the mandate, but with dignity, which you don’t have,” said Eduardo Bolsonaro, exalted and speaking low and slang words.
