Nothing to say on TF1: Did you notice this cinematic reference?

Tonight, TF1 releases the comedy Nothing to Declare, in which Danny Boone allows himself to hint at the career of his compatriot Benoit Poelwarde.

Nothing to Declare is the first feature film directed by Danny Boone since the release of Welcome to the Ch’tis! Suffice it to say that the public was looking forward to this new comedy.

As in Les Ch’tis, who confronted a native of southern France with a native of the north, Nothing to Declare contrasts two visions: the Francophone Belgian customs officer and his more tolerant colleague (secretly in love with D. Belgian). Both roles are provided by Boone for the French and Benoit Poelverde for Belgium.

Throughout the film, drug dealers try to cross the border between Belgium and France. In the last third of the film, a smuggler, Tiburs, is arrested by two police officers, played by Boone and Polvorde:

Tiburs, Drug Courier (played by Bruno Loshett)

When police arrested him, Tiburs told police:

No thank you, I do not want to get to the bottom of the canal.

This line is what has already been voiced “It Happened Near You,” in which professional killer Benny (played by Polvorde) explains that in order to get rid of a body in a canal, it must be a ballast. “Three times the weight”. Otherwise, the corpse “Aging with air and prone to rising to the surface”.

Ben throws corpse in the canal in the movie “It Happened Near You”

Throughout the film, Ben avoids an impressive number of bodies with this method, and this is one of the main features of the film. Therefore, Danny Boone in his dialogues refers to his comrade Pellwardes, who plays the xenophobic Belgian policeman Ruben.

But Boone also allowed the cast to take on well-known public figures such as Bruno Moino, Jerome Commando, Zinedine Sualemi, Olivier Gourmet, Bully Lanners, Laurent Gamelon and, of course, Karin Viar and François Damien.
