Four years after its theatrical release, Charlie’s Angels is finally coming to Netflix. This reboot of the iconic franchise (which is actually a sequel in disguise) includes three new Charlie’s Angels. Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott and Ella Balinska must complete the most dangerous mission under the leadership of Patrick “Bosley” Stewart.
Elizabeth Banks narrates an action film that takes us on a journey from Berlin to Dresden via Istanbul. Who says Charlie’s Angels also says costumes and gadgets of all kinds, but also stunts galore. The choreographies were also imagined according to the abilities of the actors, who trained for 6 weeks with kickboxing specialists (see in the video below, from 3 minutes):
And it’s sometimes done with loss and breakdown, as the former Twilight star told us in an interview at the time: “I broke both fingers. I suffer a lot during filming. So I’m careful. You should never go too deep!“.
If they all gave it their all, it was the talented Ella Balinska who gave the most on set. It’s no surprise when you know that the young woman is a former athlete, specializing in javelin throwing, and that she also trained in martial arts. Jane Cano’s interpreter does most of her stunts herself, as she proves in this TikTok video where she meets Jonathan Tucker.
