The penultimate episode of the third season of The Mandalorian it ended with the Mandalorians facing a number of hardships. After all, the group fell into a trap, was surprised by the return of Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito), and to top it off, had casualties. Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) was also captured, leaving Grogu alone. In other words: the Empire rises again with force. But before you know the outcome of all this, we have prepared a summary with everything you need to know before continuing to play season finale from the series of Star Wars on Disney+.
If you are in a hurry:
What time does the last episode of the third season air?
Like the other episodes of this season, chapter 24 of the series will be available on the Disney+ platform starting at 4:00 am on Wednesday, April 19, 2023. You will soon be able to follow the finale in the early hours of the day.
What we know so far

This season, the character Bo-Katan (Katee Sackhoff) has had great prominence, serving as a co-star. After repossessing the Darksaber, she has finally succeeded in reuniting the Mandalorians again and, at least ostensibly, overcoming the feuds between the different groups of her people.
However, upon returning to the planet Mandalore, the Mandalores led by Bo-Katan ended up walking into a trap set by Moff Gideon. The trap was not possible only because of the cunning villain of the Empire. As indicated by some clues in the development of the plot, and by the name of the penultimate episode (the spies) indicated, there is evidence of treason among the Mandalorians themselves. But who cheated? We do not know yet.
Who went to Mandalore?
Members of the two main factions of the Mandalorians – The Tribe and the Owls – made the trek to Mandalore. However, only a few descended to the planet’s surface, including Bo-Katan, Din, Grogu, Ax, Armeira, Paz Vizsla, and Koska Reeves. This small group has even located survivors of the Great Purge, which virtually wiped out the planet and its inhabitants.
Many of the survivors were weakened and were taken to a ship for medical treatment. The rest of the Mandalorians went to the Great Forge, where they were surprised by Moff Gideon.
Will The Mandalorian have a fourth season?
Certainly. Series creator Jon Favreau – director of the first two Iron Man films – said in a recent interview with btvthat the next chapters of Din Djarin and Grogu’s journey are already written.

However, it’s worth mentioning that the fourth season still has an announced premiere date. The next episodes are expected to release in late 2024 or early 2025. While the first two seasons aired about a year apart, between 2019 and 2020, the third was significantly delayed, debuting only in 2023. After all, the Covid-19 pandemic has caused numerous complications and delays in the program.
Saga continues outside of the original series
While Season 4 still doesn’t have a premiere date, Star Wars fans won’t be orphaned for long. That’s because Ahsoka, spin-off of The Mandalorianpremiere in August 2023. And it is not unlikely that Din Djarin and Grogu will participate in the program, as well as with another spin-off series, Boba Fett’s book.
To complete, among the upcoming Star Wars films announced, there is one dedicated to the universe of the series. Soon, in the not too distant future, it will be possible to see Grogu’s cuteness on the big screen. The production was recently revealed during Star Wars Celebration 2023. The long one has Dave Filoni and will serve as a conclusion to the Mandalorian saga. The series is likely to have at least two seasons left before it closes theatrically.
