The television universe of Anne Rice’s ‘Vampire Chronicles’ will be expanded with ‘The Order of the Talamasca’, a new series after ‘Interview with the Vampire’ and ‘The Mayfair Witches’

AMC remains committed to building a franchise of series around the ‘Vampire Chronicles’ by Anne Riceafter the good audience results of the television adaptation of ‘interview with the vampire‘ and the derived string ‘The Mayfair Witches‘ starring Alexandra Daddario. Both series have been renewed for a second season, and they will be joined next year’The Order of the Talamasca‘.

‘The Order of the Talamasca’ is not based on any specific book in Rice’s literary saga, but on a secret organization featured throughout several of his books created to investigate, monitor, and track the paranormal, including witches, spirits, werewolves, and vampires. Rice calls them “psychic detectives” (a bit like the Hepta Group from ‘Phenomena’).

john lee hancock, the author of the recent Stephen King adaptation ‘Mr. Harrigan’s Phone’ is writing the series and will serve as showrunner.

Deadlinewhich has been the medium that launched the exclusive, points out that ‘Interview with the Vampire’ is currently filming its second season in Prague and ‘The Witches of Mayfair’ will film its second season in New Orleans at the end of this year 2023.
