Al Pacino is clear about which ‘The Godfather’ movie is superior to the rest of the trilogy: “It is more entertaining”

On the other hand, regarding the film based on the original novel by Mario Puzo, he believes that “‘The first film of ‘The Godfather’, which I saw again recently, always has two or three different things in each scene. You are always in the story, don’t go. You don’t know what’s going to happen next, it’s storytelling, it’s really storytelling at its best. ‘The Godfather II’ is more linear, and a bit different, gloomy, slow moving. But it’s also a great movie, I have to say.”
