The coach grants the interview after the Italian team beat Atletico-PR 2-0 at the Maracanã

Fernando Diniz holds a press conference after Fluminense beat Athletico-PR 2-0 at the Maracanã. The coach defined the Italian team’s moment as “excellent”, but underlined that the players cannot relax.

– Timing is excellent. Everything has a naturalness. Players are dedicated more and more and understand that every game must be treated as a grand finale. It’s hard to have that kind of awareness. There is one thing that we must avoid as much as possible, and that is relaxation. Knowing how to learn when you lose and also when you win. I don’t think the team played a perfect game, far from it. We have things to improve. In the second half we took a while to read the game and they grew in the game. But in general we played an excellent game, with a lot of merit. Although the referee tried to fix a penalty that didn’t come – said Diniz.

Fluminense won the first two rounds and succeeded 100% in the Brasileirão. The Guerreiros team’s next match is Tuesday, against Paysandu, at 8 pm, away from home, for the second match of the third phase of the Copa do Brasil. The first duel was 3-0 for the Italian team.
