Canal + aired this Monday, May 23rd, the first three episodes of Flambeau, Chupacabra Adventure Lovers, a sequel to La Flamme, a parody series written by Jonathan Cohen that created the event during its October 2020 broadcast.
And for this new season, get out of the villa and his appellants, as Mark, who is always heartbroken, turns out to be involuntarily involved in an adventure game on a desert island. The contenders who struggled to become his heart’s favorite have given way to 15 candidates who will fight to survive in a hostile environment!
In the first seconds of the opening episode of Le Flambeau, the presenter, played by Jerome Komand, says that 15 categories are going on an adventure off the coast of Mexico and more precisely on the Chupacabra archipelago.
If the grand landscapes and beautiful sandy beaches leave a place of doubt for the filming of the TV series, the teams really put the suitcases in France.
Indeed, contrary to what Canal + hinted at in announcing Season 2 2, it was Corsica that served as the backdrop for footage starting in September 2021. And thanks to the talent of the decorators (and probably thanks to nature itself) the beauty of the island’s beaches is like a paradise, often used in shows like Koh Lanta.
The answer is no. Jonathan Cohen, David Cavilioli, Hugo Benamozig, Freddie Gladio, Jeremy Galan and Florent Bernard, the screenwriters of Le Flambeau, completely invented this idiotic-looking archipelago. And between “Isla Mebien”, “Isla Racont” and “Isla Tapgrav”, the names of each of these islands leave little room for doubt as to the existence of this archipelago.
