The premiere of the popular Turkish TV series “The Ring” took place in the KION online cinema. This is a detective story about a murder investigation of many years ago and revenge that brings out the worst in people, the main role in which went to the star of another Turkish TV hit – “Knock on my door”. Along with her, another serial idol of Turkey, Serkan Chayoglu, known for his role in Cherry Season, played in the show.
In 1993, a child was stolen from a young Karabulut family, the father brought a ransom for his child, guessing that he would not get out of the alteration alive. And so it turned out – the man was killed, the money was taken, and someone else’s baby was left. Nevertheless, the wife of the deceased raised the boy, calling him her son.
According to the story, 25 years later, a disk comes to the police, where someone behind the scenes names the criminals, members of the Ring criminal group. Who sent it is unknown, but the recipients are known. One of them is the adopted son Karabulut Kaan, who is in prison for petty crimes, the investigation suggests that he infiltrate the organization of murderers. A copy of the recording was also sent to Dzhihangir Tepeli, the real son of the Karabuluts, the heir to one of the leaders of the Ring. It is to Jihangir that Kaan must ingratiate himself in order to fulfill revenge.
The project has not one, but three directors at once – Volkan Kocatürk (“Azize”), Basak Soysal (“New Life”) and Süleyman Mert Ozdemir. The crime drama was produced by ES Film, the production company behind the hit Barbarossa: Sword of the Mediterranean.
