Suspected of kidnapping Maddie McCann refuses the interrogation


Christian Bruckner will leave prison in Germany this week

The German Christian Bruckner, suspected of involvement in the disappearance of the British girl Madeleine “Maddie” McCann, refused to be questioned by British police investigators on the case.




The 48 -year -old man is serving time in Germany for the rape of an elderly woman in Portugal, an episode without relationship with McCann, who passed away in 2007, on the eve of turning four, while the holidays with his parents on Praia da Luz in the same country.

While Bruckner will leave the prison next Wednesday (17), after respening seven years of imprisonment, the Scotland site of the British police asked to question him, but the suspicion used the right to refuse the request.

British researchers, however, promised to continue investigating Maddie’s disappearance, who would now be 22 years old.

The German prosecutor is convinced that the girl died shortly after the disappearance, probably murdered by her kidnapper. Despite suspecting Bruckner, German investigators have never been able to collect sufficient evidence to bring it to the trial. The suspicion swears innocence in case.

Maddie’s disappearance moved the world in 2007 and continues to attract the spotlight due to an 18 -year -old mystery in the midst of countless twists and turns and false clues against several suspicions. The girl was kidnapped as she slept in the bedroom and her parents’ dinner at the hotel restaurant a few meters away.
