If you are a fan of the Westeros world created by Woerge RR Martin, you really live in the right era. In 2022, at the end of the thrones at the end of the game, we had not even applied time, the HBO channel had already published a news story by the author: House of the Dragon. And because we have to wait between the 2nd and 3rd seasons, the third series arrives (again) in 2026: the Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.
What is it?
The story occurs during the period when the targaryen line still keeps the iron throne and the recent dragon’s memories have not yet disappeared from collective memory.
A century before the events of Game of Thrones, two unlikely heroes Wander Westeros: a naive but courageous young knight, Sir Duncan a large and his little squirrel, an egg. Great fate and strong enemies are waiting for these unlikely friends because they try to find their place in a cruel kingdom with uncertain equilibrium.
A very different approach
“Another Game of Thrones Series?” You can say. Of course, but watching his trailer is not what makes us think. This is a more tone change, quite unexpected for those who were accustomed to the world, which raises questions.
In this trailer there is humor. Lots of humor. It seems that the series is working with a sincerely comic character duo, with the tradition of what we call “buddy movies”: these stories, where two strong individuals come together with adventure and end friends. An amazing choice for a world that was so dark so far, which was perfectly involved in the creator of series Ira Parker.
He explains this to our colleaguesEntertaining a weekly : “All decisions made by Duncan. He is simple and straightforward. He doesn’t have much flashiness. Credits are grand, epic and incredible.
A new approach that is sincerely interested in what this new series (and all the rest?), You will soon see in France at HBO Max.
