It’s a program that’s known around the world, and for good reason, The Simpsons holds the record for the longest-running animated series in American television history. Created by Matt Groening in 1989, this pop culture monument is currently in its 34th season, which will conclude on May 21 across the Atlantic.
Last January, the Fox network announced that the series had been renewed for a 36th season. but then? The magazine spoke peopleActor Hank Azaria, who voices many of the characters, suggests that The Simpsons should at least continue to Milestone: Season 40.
“I am also interested he explains. You know, we’re dealing with seasons 35 and 36 right now, so I think it should go on until the second season. (…) For 10 or 15 years, the average figures of viewers on television have completely changed. But despite today’s average, we are doing well.“
In recent seasons, we can observe a real resurgence of interest in The Simpsons. The animation teams are trying more things, experimenting with different styles, and the tone is still just as politically incorrect.
