“And here he pulled out a knife!” : The audition so far so good (Netflix), which almost turned into a tragedy

So Far, which remains a Netflix hit, stars Navel Madani as a TV journalist who must find a large sum of money to pay off a drug lord. The young woman, who wore the hat of showrunner and actress on the project, became especially involved in the casting phase, namely by scouring social networks to find her headliner.

In a “Five Things You Need to Know” video about the series, which Netflix shared on its YouTube account (and which we’ve embedded above), the comedian recalls an audition that almost turned into a disaster due to a slightly overzealous actor. 2’17). He says without humor:

We don’t know which character this actor wanted to portray on screen – probably Oumar – but one thing is for sure, Navel Madani did not join him in the cast. As for the big villain of the series, he is finally interpreted by Jibril Zonga, his companion in the city. The couple also revealed why the former model agreed to play the game, so far so good.
