First reactions to ‘The Flash’: “Without a doubt one of the best superhero movies of all time”

The hype is real. The first reactions to ‘The Flash’ exalt the DC movie and its protagonist, Ezra Miller.

The new trailer for ‘The Flash’ looks like the end of a stage in the DC movie universeand according to the first reactions in the first world screening of the film that has taken place at CinemaCon, it promises to live up to what is expected of it.

The lucky guests at the premiere of the movie of the hero sprinter played by the controversial Ezra Miller are raising the hype to unsuspected limits, making it one of the most anticipated films of 2023. It is normal that in these first screenings the critics are enthusiastic, suggested by the exclusive and festive atmosphere of this type of event, but what is happening with ‘The Flash’ surpasses the best expectations, with several North American critics stating that it is “Without a doubt one of the best superhero movies of all time”.

For example our partner Fausto Fernandez has tweeted from Las Vegas that he is “very pleasantly surprised at how he manages to reconcile the superheroic universes (been and to be) of Tim Burton and Zack Snyder“.

Erik Davis by Fangando and RottenTomatoes is one of those who defend the position of “one of the best superhero movies ever made”, adding that is “everything you want in a superhero movie and much more” and that it has an air to ‘Back to the Future’.

scott menzel of We Live Entertainment jumps on the bandwagon as well, adding that “Ezra Miller is the heart and soul of the film.“.

Umberto Gonzalezfrom The Wrap, puts it “on the same level as ’78 ‘Superman’ and ’89 ‘Batman'”.

nicholas austin by Empire and Digital Spy extols Sasha Calle’s “underutilized” role as Supergirl while also giving us clues about the Flashpoint, the reboot of the DCEU.

Among all the positive reviews, it was hard to find one that said something like a “meh”, and that would be Andrew J Salazar of DiscussingFilm stating that “It’s not wonderful but it has some pretty good moments.“.

‘The Flash’ will be released worldwide on June 16, 2023bringing back the Batman from Michael Keaton and Ben Aflleck and the controversial Ezra Miller, whom Warner has kept in the role despite all the incidents he starred in last year.

‘The Flash’ will be, presumably, the reboot of the DC cinematic universe for James Gunn to start his plan for new movies and seriesalthough ‘Aquaman 2’ and ‘Blue Beetle’ have yet to be released before that.
