Interim Minister of the Institutional Security Office (GSI), Ricardo Cappelli, has sacked Jorge Henrique Luz Fontes as chief of cabinet to the executive secretary of the GSI. The ordinance is published in Official Journal of the Union this Wednesday and informs that the waiver is made “on request”.
The executive secretary of the GSI, general Ricardo Nigri, to whom Jorge Fontes was subordinate, had already been exonerated, also upon request, last week, shortly after the exit from the command of the corps of general Gonçalves Dias. G. Dias asked to leave his post after the diffusion of videos in the press showing GSI agents leaving Palazzo Planalto at the mercy of the vandals who invaded it on 8 January this year.
