On April 27, viewers of the Okko online cinema will see the continuation of the cult series “Mosgaz” – “Case No. 9. Cherkasov’s last case” before the official broadcast on TV. Producers – Konstantin Ernst and Denis Evstigneev. The director of “The Last Case” was Evgeny Zvezdakov. The author of the idea is Zoya Kudrya. The script was written by Mikhail Zubko and Ivan Zavaruev. The team of Major Ivan Petrovich Cherkasov (Andrey Smolyakov) and his permanent assistants Sonya Timofeeva (Marina Alexandrova), Alexei Garkusha (Alexey Bardukov) and Yegor Osadchy (Alexander Golubev) will investigate a new case in Moscow in 1981.
In “The Last Case of Cherkasov” there will be new characters played by Andrey Merzlikin, Leonid Yarmolnik, Alexei Guskov, Olga Lerman and other famous artists. In addition, director Yevgeny Zvezdakov returned to the Mosgaz site in the 9th season, with the same team he filmed two seasons of the TV series Spider and Jackal.
It is very pleasant to return to Mosgaz after seven years. This is a native group, native characters. I have watched all seasons and am a fan of this show. And all the components are in place: intrigue and plot, as well as actors in great shape. I think “Cherkasov’s Last Case” will also be a bright season. It has a certain attraction in the plot. Visually, the film will also be interesting. One of the lines of the series is the theft of a work of art. And the artistic solution of all episodes will be determined by this line,” director Evgeny Zvezdakov said.
In The Last Case of Cherkasov, a new employee appears in the department – Major Kovalev, performed by Andrey Merzlikin. He is younger than Cherkasov, had an internship abroad, and trusts newfangled gadgets more than instincts.
