Netflix: This drama that brought subscribers to tears is back for a final season

Tully and Kate’s friendship story comes to an end. On April 27, Netflix released the second part of season 2 of Always There for You, the bittersweet series that follows two friends played by Katherine Heigl and Sarah Chalke for 30 years.

This adaptation of the novel written by Christine Hanna promises a rather touching farewell to this last burst of episodes. It must be said that we left our two heroes in the midst of a crisis. Kate is no longer on speaking terms with Tully after the latter is involved in a drunk driving accident with her daughter Mara on board.

So the friendship seems broken between our two forties who are also going through ups and downs in their careers. But an event can set them straight, as the trailer shows us: Kate’s cancer. The latter seems to want to make the first move as his condition worsens. We also see her wearing a wig in pictures…

7 new episodes will take the years again to tell us their story one last time. We should also witness Kate and John’s (Ben Lawson) vow renewal and perhaps Tully and Danny’s (Ignacio Serricchio) bond.

But we can imagine the worst about the ending of Always There for You because the series never spared our emotions. Fans can only hope for one thing: that everything ends well for Kate and Tully. And if readers of Kristin Hannah’s novel know how it ends, there’s no telling the Netflix series won’t take liberties with the story.
