Janderson thrills with his first professional goal in Botafogo’s Copa do Brasil victory

Botafogo secured in the round of 16 of the Copa do Brasil. The alvinegros passed through Ypiranga-RS, this Thursday, to Nilton Santos.

The match was special for forward Janderson. The youngster came on in the second half to score the home side’s second goal, his first in pro football.

“It’s a dream come true. I come from a family that has many difficulties. I had an opportunity at Botafogo, in team B. I was able to take advantage of it and move to team A. And now I have to score a goal. I’m going to celebrate with the my family,” he said Amazon Prime videos.

Additionally, Janderson stressed Botafogo’s continued invincibility at this point in the season.

“This is the result of hard work. Always working hard and focused. This keeps our team undefeated,” he said.

Now, Botafogo faces Flamengo, this Sunday, at 16:00 (Brasilia time), in Maracanã, for the third round of the Brasileirão. Ypiranga, on the other hand, will face América-RN, on Wednesday, for the Série C, at 19h.
