Renault Captur units manufactured between May and November 2021 pose a fire risk and must be inspected at a dealership
Renault do Brasil invites owners of Captur vehicles manufactured between May and November 2021 with 1.3 turbo flex engine to go to a brand dealership throughout the country to check and/or repair the washer jets and engine injection nozzles.
According to the automaker, the vehicles covered by the summons could have water infiltration through the washer jets. This fact, combined with the use of poor quality fuel, can cause corrosion of the injector nozzles of the electronic injection system, resulting in irregular combustion which, in extreme cases, can cause a fire with possible serious injury or death to the occupants.
Renault advises that the repair of the component will take up to 1h30 and must be scheduled at a Renault dealership. The repair is free.
Further information can be obtained on the company’s website (www.renault.com.br/servicos/recall) or via the SAC on the telephone 0800-055 5615.
