Forward Pedrinho was speaking just hours after San Paolo announced the termination of his contract. The player, sidelined after being accused of assault by his ex-girlfriend Amanda, saw the club’s decision as an “incomprehensible” measure.
Pedrinho signed the official note together with his lawyer Daniel Bialski. In addition to disagreeing with the termination of his contract with the team, he claimed he was a “victim” of the case and stated that his termination was based on “selective criminal leaks of old and edited messages.”
Last week, the portal Oh published printouts of messages present in the police investigation which contained death threats from the footballer addressed to the ex.
“Due to the unjust termination of the contract, announced by São Paulo Futebol Clube, I declare that the decision is incomprehensible in the light of the reality of the facts. I am waiting for the moment to be tied, once again, to the matches”, Pedrino began.
“Unfortunately, the contractual termination was based on a criminal selective leak of old and modified messages, which disobeyed the existing judicial order in my favor. I was waiting, as I will wait, for the filing of the slanderous charge brought against me”, he completed .
In early May, Pedrinho asked for “temporary removal from activities” in São Paulo to “give priority” to this period and “collaborate with the work of the authorities”, clarifying the complaints registered.
At the time, in a publication he made, the player also spoke of resuming his career as soon as possible and thanked his family and the entrepreneur for the support received.
The player was signed by São Paulo on 7 December 2022. The striker, who belongs to Lokomotiv Moscow-RUS and had a contract until the end of 2023, played nine games and scored three goals.

From 3 March, by mutual agreement, the club and I understood that it was better to demonstrate that I was, in fact, a victim, which has recently materialized with the granting of protective measures in my favour. I had trained normally with the main cast. I also did all of today’s activities, together with my mates.
I have never failed to fulfill my obligations and have always carried out my contract with professionalism and high performance, waiting for the moment to be re-listed for matches.
