Netflix: Sharks in Paris by a horror specialist!

It’s not Jaws in Paris, but almost! Netflix has just announced its next French feature film. And for this, the platform called Xavier Gens, the director who made a name for himself with the Franco-American film Hitman and Slasher Frontière(s).

Currently without an official name, this new product – known only by the working name Sharks – promises blood and cold sweat. Here is its summary:

In the summer of 2024, Paris will host the Triathlon World Championships on the Seine for the first time. Sofia, a brilliant scientist, is warned by Mika, a young environmental activist, about the presence of a large shark in the depths of the river. They have no choice but to team up with Adil, the river police chief, to prevent bloodshed in the heart of the city.

Nasim Lies

To interpret the three main characters, Xavier Gens is surrounded by Berenice Bejot (Prize for female interpretation at Cannes Le Passé, The Artist), Nassim Lyes (Passing by pecho, Overdose) and Léa Leviant, seen in Mortel et Profilage.

While waiting to discover the damage that a large shark can cause in Paris, Xavier Gens will soon release another feature film, Farang with Nassim Lyes and Olivier Gourmet, in theaters on June 28.

This is an action film where Nassim Lyes plays a model prisoner preparing for his reintegration. But his past catches up with him on vacation and forces him to run away.
