“You don’t know everything in this business”: Jason Momoa’s surprising reaction to the good reception of ‘Aquaman’

The DC movie is the highest grossing.

After debuting as an underwater superhero in ‘Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) where, among other things, we were able to see Ben Affleck become one of the best actors to have played Batman, and reprise the role in ‘Justice League’ (2017), the Momoa’s Aquaman had his own movie In solitary in 2018.

The movie was positively received by fans and it became highest grossing dc movie to date, although Momoa was a little confused about the reason for the success of ‘Aquaman’, which has even served as inspiration for ‘Malignant’, the latest film by its director, James Wan.

Now, a few weeks after the premiere of ‘Fast and Furious 10’, in which he also stars, Jason Momoa has admitted that he was “absolutely baffled” by the good reception of ‘Aquaman’ among the public.

“Well, to be totally honest, I was absolutely baffled that ‘Aquaman’ was so well received,” the ‘Game of Thrones’ actor revealed in a new interview with ‘Men’s Health’.

“I’ve done amazing things that nobody sees and nobody gives a shit about. You just don’t know everything in this business”.

He added: “I don’t do things thinking, ‘Oh, I’m going to make a billion dollars with this.’ I go and do my best work.”

After the troubles starring Amber Heard and the rumors about her dismissal from DC, finally on December 22 it will see the light ‘Aquaman 2’starring a Momoa who, he says, “does not feel pressured.”

“It’s not that I’m not interested in ‘Aquaman,’ he’s a wonderful character. Aquaman is probably the most difficult character in comic book history.“, it states.

“He’s made fun of and ridiculed, but I tried to give him heart and soul, and I’m proud of it in certain ways.”

“Do I feel the pressure that the sequel does well? No. All I can do is give it my all. But it’s in the hands of a lot of people.”
