Spider-Man: Good news for all those who are waiting like crazy for the New Generation 2

Andy Samberg is joining the cast of the second installment in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, titled Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse in its original version! According to One Take News and ComingSoon , the Brooklyn Nine-Nine star will play fan-favorite Scarlet Spider, who was briefly seen at the end of the film’s latest trailer released a few weeks ago.

In the comics, Scarlet Spider’s real name is Ben Reilly. Reilly is a clone of Peter Parker created in 1975 in a laboratory by the evil Professor Miles Warren (Jackal). He named himself Ben Reilly after Peter’s uncle and aunt: Ben Parker and May Reilly Parker.

In this second installment, Miles Morales and Gwen Stacy travel to the Multiverse, where they encounter a diverse group of Spider-Man tasked with protecting his existence. But when a new threat emerges, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders and must decide what it means to be a hero in order to save the people he loves most.

Directed by: Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers and Justin K. Thompson, Spider-Man: The Next Generation 2 The original version will benefit from the voices of Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, Jake Johnson, Issa Rae, Daniel Kaluuya, Jason Schwartzman, Brian Tyree Henry or even Oscar Isaac and many others.

The film will hit our screens on May 31, 2023, while its sequel, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, is slated for April 3, 2024.
