“Deadpool 3” confirms the return of old characters

Actors Rob Delaney, Stefan Kapicic and Brazilian Morena Baccarin have been confirmed in “Deadpool 3”. They played Peter, the powerless member of X-Force, the mutant Colossus and Vanessa, the love interest of the anti-hero. Peter and Vanessa even died in the film, but were revived in the post-credits scenes, thanks to a time-traveling device that ends up in Deadpool’s hands.

Other actors returning to their previous roles in “Deadpool 3” are Karan Soni (“Deadpool 2”) and Leslie Uggans (“Deadpool 2”) as Driver Dopinder and Blind Al, respectively. Besides, of course, Ryan Reynolds in the role principal.

Newcomers include Matthew Macfadyen (“Succession”), Emma Corrin (“The Crown”) and none other than Hugh Jackman (“Logan”) as Wolverine.

“Deadpool 3” is directed by Shawn Levy (director of “Project Adam”) and the screenplay is by Paul Wernick (“Zombieland”) and Rhett Reese (“Deadpool”), responsible for the first two films, who this time work in collaboration with Zeb Wells (“She-Hulk”).

The production will be the first title in the franchise following Disney’s purchase of Fox, marking the character’s debut in the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe).

The premiere is scheduled for September 6, 2024.
