Samuel l Jackson will join Chris Pratt in Alcon Entertainment’s upcoming animated film based on the cult comic. Garfield.
Jackson will play a new character, Garfield’s father Vic. The veteran Hollywood actor is known for hit movies like Jurassic Park, war of the galaxies previous trilogy, Goodfellas, Coming to America, Sociedade Menace II s Pulp Fiction.
It was previously announced that Pratt had voiced Garfield, a Monday-hating, lasagna-loving comedian, in a new animated film based on a screenplay by David Reynolds and directed by Mark Dindal. Sony Pictures spreads all over the world (except China).
Alcon bought the rights from the creator. Garfield The comic book series is branded by Jim Davis, who will executive produce with Bridget McMahl and Craig Sost. John Cohen and Stephen P. Wegner will co-produce with Alcon directors Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosow.
DNEG Animation will provide animation and production for the film with Alcon Entertainment. DNEG CEO Namit Malhotra and DNEG President Tom Jacob are the producers.
Created by cartoonist Davis Garfield The comic’s debut came out in June 1978 and follows a lazy, cynical orange cat and his relationship with his owner, John Arbakle, and Odi, a beloved dog.
