The dollar rallied slightly in early trading on Tuesday, hovering around 5 reais as investors awaited the conclusions of the monetary policy meetings of the Central Bank of Brazil and the Federal Reserve.
At 9:07 (Brasilia time), the spot dollar advanced 0.23%, to 5.0005 reais on sale.
On the B3, at 9:07 (Brasilia time), the first dollar futures contract rose by 0.27%, to 5.0310 reais.
In its most recent session, on Friday, the spot dollar ended the day trading at 4.989 reais, up 0.18%.
The Central Bank will hold an auction of up to 16,000 traditional foreign exchange rate swap contracts this trading session with a view to rolling over the 1 June 2023 deadline.
